This course is designed to help you: 1. Increase familiarity with how early experiences impact the developing brain. 2. Identify threats to resilience 3. Increase familiarity with SAMHSA's Strategic Planning Framework in addressing mental health, substance abuse, and trauma issues that impact families. 4. Describe various community programs that have successfully impacted struggling and at-risk children and families. 5. Identify resources and programs to meet the needs of diverse populations. Caregivers frequently deal with multiple stressors such as mental health challenges, substance abuse, and a history of trauma. This course is designed to help to build a responsive community by providing information, resources, and tips useful for engaging the wider community to come together for those in need of resources and support.
