Cybersecurity attacks and natural disasters are unfortunate and frequent realities that face healthcare systems worldwide. This webinar will focus on the rationale and steps microbiology laboratories can take to be prepared for these kinds of service-disrupting events. Learning Objectives Recognize and categorize the various types of risks, whether from malicious actors or natural disasters, that can directly impact laboratory operations. Identify strategies the laboratory can use to prepare for the risk of and minimize fallout from a cyberattack. Develop an emergency preparedness plan in the case of natural disasters and other unexpected events.
