Integrating Artificial Intelligence in Clinical Counseling and Social Work: Ethical Considerations and Regulatory Compliance

Course overview

Participants will be able to define artificial intelligence and describe its current applications in clinical counseling and social work, will be able to describe and critically examine the ethical considerations of using AI in mental health practice, including confidentiality, informed consent, bias, and professional competence, and will be able to summarize relevant sections of the Ohio Revised Code and the rules of the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board related to AI, teletherapy, and electronic service delivery.
