Course overview

This course discusses the important world of documentation. Documentation is a crucial part of human and social services work. If a professional does not document, it did not happen! This course assists staff with polishing their current documentation skills and learning what is important to include in documentation. This course provides documentation examples, role-plays and nuances of documenting in-person versus phone interactions with clients. Objectives: After completing this course, participants will be able to: 1. Recognize the importance of documentation in helping professions. 2. Recognize the different documentation formats. 3. Examine and practice writing agency documentation using objective, non-judgmental language. 4. Implement documentation strategies in client scenarios.
