Course Objectives
At the completion of this course the participants should be able to:
- Learn to diagnose of vital and non-vital pulp in primary teeth and immature permanent teeth
- Implement effective pulp therapy techniques for pediatric patients
- Learn about regenerative endodontics for pediatric patients
- Understand patient and tooth-specific indications for minimally invasive/ noninvasive caries management
- Understand clinical application protocol for the application of silver diamine fluoride, resin infiltration, and peptide-guided enamel remineralization
- Understand when and how to use “Hall crowns” for primary teeth
- Review stainless steel crowns, composite strip crowns, pre-veneered esthetic crowns, zirconia crowns, and medical-grade resin crowns
- Weigh the pros and cons of different types of crowns for pediatric patients
- Learn about techniques to maximize success with contemporary esthetic crowns
The educational teaching methodology used in this course is live, interactive lecture presented via Zoom webinar with an accompanying PowerPoint presentation. Both the live webinar and the PowerPoint presentation incorporate a variety of audio and visual cues to enhance audience members’ understanding and retention of key concepts. In addition, question and answer periods are provided for at the conclusion of each section of the live webinar.
