Working with babies and toddlers is a specialty all its own. In this dynamic seminar on contemporary NDT, the principles of evidence-based strategies will be applied to go from observational assessment to intervention. utilizing strategies for babies with neuromotor impairments such as developmental delays, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and prematurity. The course is designed to give therapists ideas and tools that are immediately applicable with this population. An emphasis is placed on the practical application of intervention strategies that offer the prevention of secondary impairments and meaningful functional outcomes appropriate for this age group. Therapeutic strategies for incorporation into family life will also be explored. Course information is provided through lectures, demonstration, videos of case studies, and labs.
