Course overview

Vibration pates are growing in popularity in the health and fitness worlds. There are claims that the use of vibra-tion plates can decrease body fat, improve strength, reduce pain, and stimulate bones to fight osteoporosis. Are there scientific papers that support these claims? And what parameters are most effective? This course will ex-amine the science behind vibration and give an overview of research for common physical conditions such as osteoporosis, low back pain, knee OA, metabolic disorders, and stroke. Participants in this course will analyze the evidence behind whole body vibration (WBV) and determine appropriate uses in clinical treatment.
