Course overview

This course provides an evidence-based overview of pediatric pain management, addressing children's acute and chronic pain. It covers the physiologic processes of pain, developmental considerations in pharmacokinetics, and the mechanisms, dosing, and safety profiles of commonly used analgesic and adjuvant medications. Participants will learn strategies for integrating pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions, including complementary therapies, while considering legal, ethical, and family-centered aspects of care.
