The Lancaster Institute – Disclosure Statement
This Disclosure Statement outlines key policies regarding refunds, course scheduling, attendance, and completion requirements for all students enrolled in courses offered by The Lancaster Institute. By registering for a course, students acknowledge and agree to the following:
Refunds
Students are entitled to a refund only if both of the following conditions are met:
- A written cancellation request has been sent to admin@lancasterinstitute.com
- ; and
- The class has not yet started.
Refunds will only be credited back to the credit card used at the time of purchase.
Contingency Plan
If The Lancaster Institute cancels or reschedules a course, students will be notified via email with the new course date. If the rescheduled date does not work, the student may transfer into another course of equal credit hours at no additional cost.
Course Attendance and Code of Conduct
Active attendance and participation are required to receive course credit. Compliance monitors will verify that student cameras remain on and that students are visible throughout the course. Failure to comply with camera requirements may result in removal from the class and denial of credit.
Students are responsible for adhering to the following Code of Conduct:
- Cameras must remain on at all times (except during scheduled breaks). Use of still photos or icons is not permitted.
- Students must be present for the full duration of the course, with the only exception being a temporary connection loss of up to 15 minutes per contact hour.
- Students are expected to behave professionally and pay attention as though in a live classroom setting.
- Students may not engage in unrelated activities (e.g., driving, phone calls, paperwork, or outside conversations) during class time.
Course Completion
Upon successful completion of a course, certificates will be emailed to the address provided at registration within two (2) business days. The Lancaster Institute will also report continuing education credit hours to the appropriate state licensing agency within the timelines required by that agency
