NASW-TX: Human Trafficking - A Training for Social Workers. THIS COURSE IS FREE FOR NASW MEMBERS AND $25 FOR NON-MEMBERS This training is designed to provide social workers with a solid understanding of this social (in)justice issue while emphasizing the reasons that the education and training that social workers possess make them ideally suited to assist victims and survivors. The training covers a variety of topics including key definitions and concepts, common venues, risk factors, and means of recruitment for both labor and sex trafficking, as well as information and tools to assist in victim identification and assessment using a trauma-informed lens. Guidance on reporting, state and national resources, and next steps that social workers can consider taking are also provided.
