Description: Purpose: Manual therapy training and education on the Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes. Intent: Provide manual therapy training for safe treatment for those with EDS and hypermobility syndromes. Learning Outcomes: Students will demonstrate proficiency in: The Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes & Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders Depth of touch Layered palpation Joint alignment through soft tissue integration Communication & Listening Craniosacral rhythm and assessment as it pertains to EDS/HSD Anatomy of the central nervous system EDS/HSD comorbidities contraindications and cautions Mind-body-spirit triad Using body awareness for palpation Understand release signs of tissue Fascial anatomy and whole body interconnectedness Use skilled palpation to assess and improve tissue tensegrity
