Course overview

If you ask most people where they store stress and tension, they will tell you the neck and shoulders. While this is true, they are unaware that their feet, legs, and pelvis are also chronically tense. Myofascial constrictions in the lower body are just as enervating as they are elsewhere in the body and they distort the way people stand, walk, and move, as well as leave them with chronic pain and limited range of motion. This workshop will build on and expand the knowledge you gained in the Myofascial Release Massage: Part I, Upper Body. It also integrated what you learned in that course so that you will be able to offer your clients a complete head to toe Myofascial Release Massage. By the end of the workshop you will have felt the difference the Myofascial Release Massage makes to the lower body alone and to the entire body. You will feel more relaxed, more grounded, more graceful, and probably taller. The course will include a review of all strokes taught in the Upper Body class. The Myofascial Release Massage seminars include a fully illustrated manual. The Myofascial Release Massage seminars are considered eligible for 20 continuing education hours by the NCBTMB, AMTA, ABMP, and the state boards of massage in Maryland and Florida. Part I, Upper Body is a pre-requisite for taking Part II, Lower Body. Please bring sheets and a towel and wear clothing that exposes as much of the leg as possible. Women should wear a bra or bikini top.
