While there are various ways to manage obesity, this course will focus on the most common medications used for treatment, including semaglutide, liraglutide, tirzepatide, phentermine/topiramate, and bupropion/naltrexone. This course aims to guide Advanced Practice Registered Nurses in understanding the rationale behind developing these medications, how they work, their effects on the body, essential considerations, and how to prescribe them effectively.
