Ohio Risk Assessment System (ORAS) User Training

Course overview

Participants will learn how to administer the Ohio Risk Assessment System (ORAS) to criminal-justice involved clients. The ORAS is designed to assess the risk that an individual will engage in further criminal conduct and help identify the interventions that can reduce that risk. Proper administration of the ORAS will provide information regarding potential barriers to treatment and assist in generating case plans that identify and prioritize individual needs and specific treatment needs. This two-day training is an introduction to ORAS and includes a review and practice with the assessment tools, practice in interview skills, and a review of the assessment-driven case plan.
