Course overview

Leaders set the tone for behavior in community corrections programs. When staff/providers are able to manage their own behavior, there is a reduction in crisis as well as improved ability to reduce tension. This session will cover different strategies to help promote a culture of crisis prevention and de-escalation. Participants will learn strategies for their own emotional regulation as well as how to teach emotional regulation to the staff they supervise. Participants will develop change plans to implement with their teams.
