Course overview

This 3 CE hour course has video training units that have been extracted from other longer/more comprehensive courses such as prenatal, oncology and lomi massage. Students who want to practice lomi massage or on a pregnant or oncology client must complete that specialty training first, prior to attempting to work on those populations. This course only provides hands-on side-lying position training without contraindications, theory, etc. Practitioners wishing to take this training must know these basic applications first, in addition to massage contraindications and more prior to applying this work to any individual. Some of the side-lying massage demonstrated will be trigger point therapy and deeper tissue techniques using elbows. Students must already know how to practice these modalities prior to attempting our various applications. This course teaches and repeats a variety of gentle to advanced side-lying massage techniques This training includes the following side-lying massage applications: an instructor demonstration then a student-practice along period with a gentle side-lying massage routine an instructor demonstration of a more advanced 1-hour side-lying massage appointment on a pregnant woman a brief instructor demonstration of deeper hip focal work a targeted demonstration and student practice along session of one upper torso lomi stroke Some of the hands-on techniques will be shown/repeated on different models, camera angles and with different narration for various applications. Unfortunately, we do not have enough time to demonstrate and then allow a repeat for student practice time with all of the videos. Students can rewind and rewatch the hands-on training as many times as they wish, until their course access expires.
