Course overview

This one-day workshop explores the role of pediatric occupational therapists (OTs) in supporting students with learning and attention disorders, including dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, ADHD, and intellectual disability (ID). Participants will learn about the characteristics of these disorders, the OT's role in assessment and intervention, and evidence-based strategies to enhance functional skills, sensory regulation, and academic participation in school environments. Through case-based discussions and practical applications, the course emphasizes collaborative and multidisciplinary approaches within the school setting. Participants will be able to apply evidence-based strategies to support motor, sensory, and executive function in learning contexts.
