This is a two hour course providing a basic review of the anatomy of the lumbosacral and sacroiliac region (SIJ). Participants will be provided an overview of anatomy and observe and palpate the lumbosacral and sacroiliac and pelvic region. Movement dysfunction and how to assess common signs and symptoms leading to the differential diagnosis of sacroiliac region. Research will be discussed and participants will be provided sample case studies pertinent to the sacroiliac region. Some treatment techniques will be discussed with emphasis on observation of movement and actionable techniques to improve identification of the SIJ. Solutions and treatment techniques to help the patients with sacroiliac dysfunction will be provided. Class participants will be able to practice palpation and manual therapy treatment techniques during this lab session.
