Since March 2020, globally we have experienced profound feelings of shock, confusion, anger, fear, numbness, sadness, disillusionment, disbelief, grief, and anxiety. We have faced challenges in this pandemic in transitioning from our "normal" reality to a different way of living and being. We will reflect on the impact of COVID-19 and explore our shared trauma and shared resilience. Key takeaways: At the end of the session, participants will be able to 1) Develop an understanding of the unique impact of COVID-19 on the Social Work profession, our nation, and the world 2) Define and describe the contemporary constructs of shared trauma and shared resilience and 3) Explore how these shared experiences will potentially transform the profession, our clients, and ourselves.
