Course overview

This is part 3 of a four-part course designed to help educate veterinary assistants and technicians in providing optimal patient care to patients with increasingly complicated needs. In this third lecture, we will focus on the care of patients in respiratory distress including different methods to provide oxygen and how to monitor these patients for signs of decline as well as improvement. We will also be discussing high needs patients with infectious or contagious diseases that require hospitalization. And finally, when and how to transfer patients from the general practice setting to a 24/7 facility.
