Course overview
Synopsis: Observing for signs and symptoms of illness in the people you support is paramount. This is generally due to the fact that people with developmental disabilities often do not have the skills necessary to maintain their own health. Early detection of changes in any individual's daily routine, appearance, general manner, mood, behavior, way of communicating, or physical health should indicate further investigation on your part, as it may be an indication of a medical condition, illness, or injury.
