  1. Discuss the use of and indications for medication-assisted intubation (MAI).
  2. Identify and discuss the medications that are used for MAI.
  3. Describe direct laryngoscopy and video laryngoscopy.
  4. Explain the SALAD (suction assisted laryngoscopy and airway decontamination) technique during intubation.
  5. Explore the use of a supraglottic airway during cardiac arrest.

Course overview

This course explores rapid sequence intubation (RSI), delayed sequence intubation (DSI), and medication-assisted intubation (MAI). Topics include the use of and indications for MAI medications that are used for MAI direct laryngoscopy and video laryngoscopy the SALAD (suction assisted laryngoscopy and airway decontamination) technique during intubation and the use of a supraglottic airway during cardiac arrest.
