Course overview
Older adult abuse, also known as elder abuse, is a serious, often hidden issue that threatens the safety, dignity, and well-being of vulnerable seniors worldwide. This course provides healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills to recognize, report, and help prevent abuse in older adults. Learners will examine the different types of abuse, identify risk factors and early warning signs, and apply reporting protocols aligned with legal and ethical standards. Practical strategies and real-world examples equip participants to respond effectively, support victims, and promote prevention within clinical and community settings. By completing this course, you will be better prepared to safeguard older adults from harm and uphold their right to a safe and respectful quality of life.
