EZ-IO Intraosseous Infusion System

Course overview

This 2 hour course trains paramedics to establish and use intraosseous access with the EZ IO system. Learners review indications and contraindications, site selection for tibial and humeral head access, insertion technique with the power driver, confirmation of placement, pressure assisted flushing, and securement. The course covers pain control for conscious patients, medication and fluid administration through IO lines, troubleshooting flow and infiltration, device removal, complications, and documentation to ensure safe, protocol aligned care.
