GREEN TEA: NEW BENEFITS FROM AN OLD FAVORITE
Tracking # 20-403019
Course overview
During the past 30 years, green tea has exploded in popularity, both as a drink and as an extract in supplements. An estimated 150 million gallons of green tea are consumed yearly in the U.S., and the extract is available in hundreds of supplements. Green tea has been peddled as a medicinal tool in Asian cultures for centuries, and recently it has gained notoriety as an antioxidant, protective against cancer, cardiovascular disease, cerebrovascular problems, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and obesity. Although many studies display the beneficial effects of green tea, many questions remain unanswered.
