Course overview

Shoulder instability is a common challenge, especially for active individuals under 40. Studies show that 47% of anterior dislocations and 70% of posterior dislocations can be effectively managed without surgery. The right approach depends on several factors, including when and how the instability occurred, its severity, direction, frequency, and any additional injuries - along with the patient's goals for returning to sport and activity. In this program, we'll take a deep dive into the causes of shoulder instability, evidence-based management strategies, and expected outcomes. Learners will gain practical insights to better support both non-operative and post-operative patients, covering prognosis, rehabilitation goals, and return-to-sport criteria to enhance patient education and recovery.
