In a mobile society where outpatient mental health care is often delivered via telehealth, therapists and clients often want to continue meeting while traveling. Inconsistent state rules about telehealth can make if difficult to know when you are able to maintain clinical contact, and what compliance steps may be needed. In this interactive session, you will learn about temporary practice carve-outs, interstate compacts, crisis care, and the other factors that can impact whether it is appropriate to continue treatment when you or a client travel outside of your home state.
