Course Description: This course provides an in-depth understanding of occlusion, the relationship between the upper and lower teeth during function and rest. This course explores key concepts and techniques involved in creating functional and aesthetic dental prostheses. The course covers the anatomy and physiology of occlusion, as well as the principles of articulating dental models, and managing occlusal relationships. Course Objectives: 1. Define and describe occlusion as related to the dental laboratory technician. 2. Analyze the Anatomy and Physiology of Occlusion: 3. Define the major contributing factors that influence dental occlusion.  4. Describe methods to properly develop occlusion in dental restorations. 5. Understand how occlusion affects the long-term success of dental treatments and patient satisfaction.
