This course is designed to provide licensed practical nurses (LPNs) with comprehensive evidence based knowledge and skills and infection prevention and control. Focusing on both standard precautions and transmission-based practices, the course equips LPNs to effectively minimize the risk of healthcare associated infections (HAIs) in diverse clinical settings. Participants will explore the principles of microbial transmission, proper use of personal protective equipment, hand hygiene, environmental cleaning, and isolation protocols all grounded in the latest CDC guidelines best practices.
