Course overview

As a result of participating in this activity the learner will be able to: Enumerate multiple non-opioid, non-invasive modalities in managing acute, sub-acute and chronic post-surgical pain. Differentiate symptoms and signs in patients presenting with acute versus chronic post-surgical pain. Identify post-surgical patients who are at risk of developing chronic post-surgical pain. Demonstrate basic ultrasound skills to perform nerve blocks for acute post-surgical pain. Demonstrate basic ultrasound skills to perform procedures for chronic post-surgical pain.
