This 22-hour comprehensive course provides nurses with the advanced knowledge and clinical reasoning skills required for excellence in wound care management and preparation for national wound care certification exams. Designed for registered and licensed practical nurses seeking to strengthen their clinical expertise, this course integrates evidence-based practice, regulatory guidance, and real-world case applications. The course covers skin anatomy and physiology, wound healing phases, pressure injury staging, documentation standards, infection control, dressing and product selection, pain management, nutrition, and the psychosocial dimensions of wound care. Legal, ethical, and interdisciplinary aspects of wound care are also emphasized to support safe, patient-centered practice.
