Learn moreCourse overview
This hybrid course includes 3 comprehensive hours of bite sized online modules that provide valuable tips on pathophysiology of CrCL disease, diagnosis, positioning for TPLO radiographs, preoperative planning, meniscal injury and treatment, and reducing surgical site infections. Once in our CE lab, you will develop your hands on surgical skills to perform stifle arthrotomy, meniscal treatment, and TPLO using plastic bone models and cadaveric specimens. This is the only TPLO course in North America that supports you each step of the way during and after your training. While here, you will also spend time in insightful radiographic review discussions of your TPLOs before repeating the procedure on your pathway toward mastery. Ponder this, even if you were trained to fly a Boeing 737, would you pilot a commercial flight without the decision making support of a flight plan, a co pilot, control tower and ground crew? Of course not. So, why would you do a surgery as intricate as TPLO without using a support team to enhance the safety for your patient? This course trains you to use patient specific pre, intra and post-operative support on your individual TPLO patients. You will learn how to receive case by case preoperative guidance and procedural planning, use patient specific instructions to perform a guided TPLO cut, and to use detailed postoperative critique to shorten your learning curve and more rapidly grow your skills. Curious what this is all about? Better check it out.
