Course overview
This Course will look at the origins of CL development, manufacture, modalities, patient selection, instrumentation, and CL fitting. We will travel through time to discover the thought processes and technological advancements that produce today;s CL. In this story, we will focus on the history and development of CL. In subsequent stories, we will progress to Specialty Soft CL and eventually hard and specialty hard CL. I hope you will enjoy this new approach to learning.

I am J David Wood and Director of Education at CEDO and a 4th generation Optician, (DO 975), who wishes to combine the greatness from the "Old School" Opticians, who are no longer with us, with the latest in Technology. This has been the theme for CEDO since its inception in 1982. My end goal is to teach Opticians how to be the best at their work.
