This Course may at first seem like it is out of the scope of Practice of Opticianry, Front Line ECPs are inundated daily with questions regarding them. We will familiarize Opticians and in some cases, reintroduce Opticians with the causes, symptoms, and standard treatment with regard to the most common optical maladies facing eye care consumers today and how they relate to glasses/contacts they are wearing. It may also help the Optician to better refer the patient to the appropriate Doctor!

I am J David Wood and Director of Education at CEDO and a 4th generation Optician, (DO 975), who wishes to combine the greatness from the "Old School" Opticians, who are no longer with us, with the latest in Technology. This has been the theme for CEDO since its inception in 1982. My end goal is to teach Opticians how to be the best at their work.
