School Based Sensory Strategies for the Occupational Therapy Practitioner

Course overview

Occupational therapy practitioners are uniquely positioned to support students success by addressing sensory processing needs within the school environment. This dynamic webinar will provide practical, evidence informed strategies to help practitioners integrate sensory based supports across a variety of contexts from individualized interventions to small group work and whole classroom approaches. Participants will explore creative, occupation centered methods to foster attention, self regulation, and participation in the learning environments. Target Audience: Occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, occupational therapy students This occupational therapy continuing education course uses the following instructional methods: visual aides (ie slides), discussion board, guided note taking, and learning, and practice opportunities.
