Course overview
This 2-hour course equips dentists with the knowledge and competencies needed to navigate the ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities of modern dental practice. Through case-based discussion and real-world examples, participants will explore how professionalism extends beyond technical skill - encompassing communication, documentation, and ethical decision-making that build patient trust and reduce malpractice risk. Learners will review current board regulations, billing ethics, and liability prevention strategies. By the end of this course, participants will be able to identify unprofessional conduct, apply ethical treatment planning principles, communicate with empathy and clarity, and uphold the highest standards of professional integrity in dental care. This course meets the 2022 Georgia Board of Dentistry requirement for CE on legal ethics and professionalism in the practice of dentistry.
