Course overview

This is asynchronous online course designed for manual therapists -- including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, osteopaths, massage therapists, chiropractors, and other musculoskeletal pain clinicians. The course invites practitioners to shift from traditional "fixer" roles toward becoming facilitators within a biopsychosocial framework. Learners will explore and integrate core concepts from Polyvagal Theory, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy into their clinical practice. Through these foundations, clinicians will develop skills in cultivating presence, genuine curiosity, experimentation, and client self-determination -- supporting more collaborative, psychologically informed care without needing to act as psychotherapists
