This continuing education course explores the neuropsychological, cultural, and emotional effects of glitter, shine, and visually stimulating materials on the human brain. Drawing from interdisciplinary research in neuroscience, psychology, and sensory health, it examines how visual stimuli such as color, light, and reflection activate brain regions related to attention, reward, and emotional regulation. The course introduces the emerging concept of dopamine dressing defined as the intentional use of color, sparkle, and aesthetic choices to elevate mood and support mental health.
