Course overview

This seminar will provide an understanding of the Transtheoretical Model of Change, also known as the Stages of Change. The Stages of Change is an evidenced-based approach to evaluate an individual's readiness to change, based on their needs and treatment progress. This model also incorporates a person-centered or client-centered approach to treatment designed to provide mental health and addiction treatment professionals the basic concepts of the six stages of change and employs techniques applicable to each stage to facilitate behavioral change.
