This course focuses on critical competencies related to the rapid expansion of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare. As AI adoption is spreading, healthcare professionals need to be able to interpret AI-generated data and recognize potential pitfalls including outdated or biased information and HIPAA-related risks. The course addresses LLMs that can be run locally without Internet access as well as ambient AI with a focus on their benefits and risks. Core Tenets of the Webinar: Patient-Centered Care: Use AI for clear communication with patients while avoiding ethical risks and biases. Professional Collaboration: Use AI to support effective teamwork and communicate with colleagues. Evidence-Based Practice & Clinical Judgment: Evaluate AI tools for accuracy and safety while reinforcing clinical judgment and the ability to detect erroneous decisions by AI. SPECIAL SEGMENT: Live Real-Time Testing of AI: Attendees will submit clinical scenarios in real time. The presenter will use fine-tuned AIs to calculate dosages, analyze CBC/BMP panels, assess drug interactions, interpret X-rays, and more. We will critique results and discuss applicability. The webinar aims to empower healthcare professionals to use AI tools to ensure safer, more effective, and more collaborative care in an increasingly tech-driven environment.
