The term kinetic chain refers to the coordinated sequence of body segments that transfer energy from the ground through the trunk to the arm during overhead activities. Disruptions in the kinetic chain can cause compensatory movement patterns that increase stress on the shoulder and elbow raising injury risk and reducing performance. This course guides clinicians through the assessment and management of kinetic chain impairments in overhead athletes.
