Keep in mind that there are many different causes of dizziness. Approximately 5 percent of the population develops vestibular disorder each year; however, another 15 percent of people experience dizziness related to another underlying condition. When people experience dizziness, they often do not know which doctor to consult first. Often, patients end up going to one doctor or another, who may not necessarily have the expertise to sort through the various possible causes of dizziness and determine the specific cause.
