Learn moreCourse overview
This course introduces a new approach for rapidly uncovering the root causes of anxiety in even the most challenging patients. Participants will learn highly effective techniques for releasing the resistances that keep anxiety alive, addressing the source and transforming them into a sense of purpose, meaning, and fulfillment. This model demonstrates that there is a single core fear at the root of all anxiety. By helping patients identify this core fear, clinicians may support resolution not only of anxiety, but of the fundamental source of suffering. The core fear expresses itself in five universal themes of loss: Abandonment (loss of love) Loss of identity Loss of meaning Loss of purpose (the chance to express oneself) Fear of death (including fear of sickness and pain) According to this approach, clients develop defenses to protect themselves from these fears, but at a high cost. This constant vigilance creates the opportunity for anxiety disorders to develop. A three-phase model for personality development is also presented, demonstrating how anxious personality traits evolve. This workshop teaches techniques to uncover the core fear and chief defense quickly and reliably. It also offers strategies for identifying the precise moment the chief defense is applied, revealing how to dismantle it efficiently and expose the false belief behind the core fear. Participants will practice these methods directly, making this an experiential and highly engaging training.
