Ambulatory Infusion Center Preceptorship {Basic}

Course overview

Students will learn about the different types of infusion centers and what types of infusions they commonly administer. The difference between "wellness infusions" {non prescription in the State of Florida as of the writing of this course (November 2025); and "biological infusions" (must be by prescription}. Students will shadow a Florida licensed Registered Nurse who will demonstrate the steps involved in the infusion process for both types of intravenous infusions. The Ambulatory Infusion Center is a licensed Health Care Clinic that administers both types of infusions.
