Course overview

This series of courses with ABMP Director of Education Anne Williams supports new teachers as they build a strong foundation in education principles and develop the next generation of massage professionals. This course focuses on Learning Objectives through Bloom’s Taxonomy. Good learning objectives define the behaviors and knowledge that educators believe students should attain in order to progress to the next course, or achieve success in the massage profession as a graduate. These objectives help educators map meaningful learning experiences, and organize courses or programs to provide continuity and sequence for the learner. Bloom’s initial purpose for classifying educational objectives was to aid communication between instructors when they discussed educational goals and to stimulate thought about educational problems.
