Course overview
The goal of this seminar is to help program participants learn about the various types of groups and the techniques and methods used for facilitation. The types of groups include 12 Steps recovery, mental health, support, dual diagnosis, discussion, and educational groups. Participants will have a working knowledge of the various types of groups and will be able to know which one(s) is most appropriate for their clients. Furthermore, participants will have gained techniques and skills needed to develop and facilitate a group and will be able to apply them in their counseling work.
