Course overview
Racial trauma affects an individual mental, physical, social, emotional, or spiritual well-being and is a risk factor prevalent in nearly all people with behavioral health and substance use disorders. This seminar program will provide information on how to assess, evaluate, and treat trauma and will focus on various types of groups and to know which one is most appropriate for their clients. Furthermore, participants will gain techniques and skills needed to develop and facilitate a group and how to apply them in their counseling profession. Special attention will be place on group treatment.
