Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki First Degree-Hands On Class

Course overview

The first-degree of Reiki provides massage therapists with a strong foundation in the Japanese healing art of Reiki as practiced in the Usui Shiki Ryoho tradition. Students will study Reiki's history, philosophy, techniques, and scope of practice. In this live in-person class, through lecture, discussion, demonstration, and supervised practice participants will learn professional therapeutic hands-on applications of Reiki including full body hand placements as well as protocols for chair sessions, focused head sequence, multi-practitioner protocols, and the Reiki Finish - a concluding sequence that incorporates specific massage techniques appropriate for a massage therapy setting.
