Course overview

Description: The Michigan Court Improvement Program (CIP) has partnered with the Michigan Department of Health & Human Services Federal Compliance Division (MDHHS-FCD) to host a 2 Part Title IV-E Training Series. The federal government audits state Title IV-E programs once every three years. Michigan successfully passed the 2025 Federal Title IV-E Onsite Review with two error cases noted. The trainings will share the federal audit findings and lessons learned, as well as provide a general overview of federal Title IV-E funding rules. The overview will include discussion of required judicial findings that must be included in court orders, Title IV-E eligibility determinations, and SCAO court forms. Special attention will be given to the Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP) requirements.
