Ethical behavior is the foundation of trust in funeral service. Families place their confidence in professionals during moments of deep vulnerability, expecting honesty, compassion, and integrity. This course explores how ethics and empathy work hand in hand to safeguard both the families we serve and the reputation of our profession. Through real-world examples and interactive discussion, participants will identify ethical challenges facing todays funeral professionals, learn how to apply empathy in decision-making, and discover strategies for creating a culture of integrity within their firms. Participants will also examine preneed and at-need case studies to understand fiduciary responsibility, transparency, and professionalism in every interaction.
